"Mind Priority“ plays brazilian jazz fusion

in the original way of J.Alvaro’s compositions and arrangements.

This creative bass player started his carreer as a guitarist in 1966 in Brazil with his first rock-jazz band. Then he worked as a bass player with famous musicians and singers such as Ivan Lins, Elis Regina, Hermeto Paschoal, Vanusa, Claudia, Eduardo Araújo et Altamiro Carilho alll over the amercian continent ( Brazil, USA, Cuba ).

When J.Alvaro came to Europe in 1990, after a few years palying in various bands and orchestras in France, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, Skandinavia and Belgium, he decided to build a band upon his own music.

He invited european musicians such as Philippe Leblanc, Thierry Goodman, Gino La Tucca, Michael Blaes, Vincent Penasse and Alain De Vis to combine brazilian styles with european influences.

His experience in various styles of modern music, which also grew by being a highly requested studio musician, gives a special variety to his compositions.

The basic band around J.Alvaro consists of a drummer, a singer/keyboard player, a guitarist or pianist, a flute/saxophone player and a percussionist.
